Job Summary
The Trust Administrator plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of Account Officers with their client relationships and new business development.
Location: In-person, Wichita office
Type of job: Full-time, salaried, non-exempt
Key Responsibilities:
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Open and close accounts within trust accounting software and ongoing account maintenance.
- Transfer documentation for IRAs or transfer instruction letters for various account types.
- Customer relationship management maintenance.
- Trade processing.
- Bill paying-approve for processing.
- Distribution or Contribution Memos-prepare for processing.
- File creation for original documents (Trusts, Wills, etc.); Filing &/or scanning of various documents.
- Account Annual Reviews, Open/Closed and Interim Reviews.
- Completion of life insurance claim documents; submit savings bonds for redemption.
- Unique Assets tasks/Errands/Off-site duties requiring physical presence of employee(s).
- Provide exceptional service to clients and referral sources.
- Work with sales team to achieve annual team revenue goal.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Ability to demonstrate critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to lift standard file boxes (approximately 35lb).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in trust, legal, banking, or accounting industries or willingness/interest to learn.
- Software Usage
- MAUI (Trust Accounting)
- ACT! (Client Relationship Manager)
